Registration Hours at the Event
The registration tent will be staffed for check- in on Friday: 9:00 am to Noon and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Saturday: 8:00 am to 10:30 am

Three of the show events will require a wristband and/or tickets, in order to participate. Wristbands and tickets, for the events you signed up for, will be included in your registration package. In order to receive your registration package, you are required to check in at the registration tent shortly after your arrival at the show and before attending any event. Launch Support will be available at the DNR Ramp, ¼ mile downriver from the show site, from 8:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday and 7:00 am until 9:00 am on Saturday.

Friday Cruise
Activities will begin with the cruise on the South Channel. A Captain’s Meeting will be held under the water tower at 11:30 am prior to the departure to the South Channel Yacht Club. Along the way, you could pass ships and freighters. The cruise to the island should take about 30 minutes and shortly after arriving, a Caribbean lunch will be served. If you have room, invite a guest along to share this unique experience. South Channel Yacht Club, 7350 South Channel Drive, Harsens Island. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Please bring your own chairs.
NOTE: The lunch cost is $30 per person and needs to be Pre-Paid/Pre-Registered SEPERATELY!

Friday Welcome Party
The Welcome Event and Dinner (Needs to be pre-Registered, and a Wristband & ticket is required) will be held at 6:00 pm in the Port O’ Call Restaurant at the Harbour Club Marina. Participants will be able to meet old friends, and make new ones, talk about classic boats, and the boating history made on the show site, the location of the original Chris-Craft Factory and within sight of where Gar Wood built his series of Miss Americas, and set numerous world water speed records.

Saturday Events
Begin your day with a Pancake Breakfast from 8:00 am to 11:00 am at the VFW Hall adjacent to the Harbour Club Marina. There is no charge for the breakfast, but a donation is suggested. Coffee and donuts will be available (while supplies last) in the Michigan Chapter Tent, adjacent to the registration tent. The Boat Show will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday. We encourage you to take our free shuttle to visit the Algonac Clay Township Maritime Museum which features exhibits on Chris-Craft, Gar Wood and other local builders, as well as, other local boating history. The Flag Raising Ceremony will be at noon and various youth activities will be available from 12:15 pm until 3:00 pm. There will be a “Start your Engines Salute” at 3:30 and the awards ceremony will begin at 4:00 pm. After the Awards Ceremony, you are encouraged to do additional cruising on your own or with friends on our beautiful St Clair River; so fire up your engines, and join some friends to take an informal cruise to explore the surrounding area.

Sunday Events
Start your Sunday with our cruise at 8:30am to The Old Club for brunch. Brunch begins at 9:30am in the main dining room. We will have a speaker after breakfast to talk about the history of Harsens Island, which was settled in the late 1700’s.

JUDGING CATEGORIES are shown on the first page of the registration form. Awards will be presented for first place and runner-up in each category. We will also have a Best of Show Award, a Commodore’s Choice Award, a “Kids” Choice Award. and a “Pete’s” Choice Award, determined by Pete Beauregard. We will also have an award for our Marquee Boat winner. Finally, an award for best “Owner Restored” boat.  The 2023 featured Marquee Boat will be “Pre-War Boats”. All boats to be judged must be in the water, and boats with a “For Sale Sign”
will not be considered for judging.

REGISTRATION will open on April 15th and due to limited docking space will close on Saturday June 10th. There will be no late registration or registration at the show this year. You must be “Registered” in order to have a boat in the show and appear in the show program. Please remember to bring extra lines and bumpers for docking.

OVERNIGHT DOCKING: For cruisers needing hookup and overnight accommodations, arrangements must be made with the Marina Harbormaster at (810) 794-0880. There is a fee. If you plan on docking Thursday or Friday, the docking committee will try to put you in the slip you will have for the show on Saturday and Sunday. If that is not possible, you may have to move Saturday morning for the show.

LAUNCHING AND TRAILER PARKING: There are no launching facilities at the Harbour Club. A DNR Public ramp is available less than ¼ mile downstream from the Marina. Launch and retrieval assistance will be available at certain times on Friday and Saturday at the launch ramp. If you wish to drop your trailer and have use of your vehicle for the weekend, you may leave your trailer on the grassy field directly across the highway from the marina at no charge.
